How WILDS began
Women in Logistics & Delivery Services was founded in 2006 by Postal Regulatory Commissioner Ruth Goldway and attorney Joy Leong, who noticed how few women were in attendance — and in leadership — at industry functions.
They gathered a handful of colleagues to consider a new organization for women in the field. The idea snowballed: WILDS held its first official event in October 2006, incorporated as a nonprofit in 2007, and today its membership stands at 80+ and continues to grow. Membership also includes automatic membership in The International Alliance for Women (TIAW).
